Bio
Lloyd Nicholson attended Sheridan College, Toronto, and graduated with a degree in Media Arts and Motion Pictures. He lived in Calgary for a time before relocating to Vancouver, B.C. He became involved in the gay community, working with Coop Radio’s Coming Out Show and Angles magazine. In 1984, he became a producer with the community cable show Gayblevision (also broadcasting as Pacific Wave) between 1984 and 1986. Gayblevision was a community cable series produced in Vancouver’s West End (1980-1986) “for gay people, by gay people”. Nicholson also worked on the Spacific Enigma cable show and produced Alternate Therapies for Persons With AIDS (1987) which won Rogers Best Documentary of the Year Award. Nicholson settled on Salt Spring Island, B.C., where he is a journeyman and artist.
