SVES Events 1970s
Event and activity documenation from the 1970s is spare and primarily photographic or text-based. Videotape was costly and the Portapak did not record low light environments well. The video documentation on this page encompasses internal activities – constructing Video Inn, collective meetings, dinners, and musings; a few in-house events; and outreach activites – activities for kids, taking video to the library, the nation-wide Bus Tour, international slow-scan transmissions, and interventions by Video Inn and others at the C.R.T.C hearings on community access to broadcast television.
