Time & Space Publications Library

International publications 1960s – present

Content

The Video Inn Library established in 1973 was comprised of a video and publications library. This eclectic publications collection is weighted towards video and film (communications and media theory, distribution catalogues, festival catalogues, etc), however, there is also a signficant number of publications on sociopolitical issues (feminism, queer, poverty, Indigenous rights, human rights, settlement, labour, environmentalism), visual art, literature, dance, music, performance art, tech industry magazines, communiques, government publications (CRTC, funding bodies, etc.), community events, and artists’ zines and monographs.

The publication library is referred to today as the Time & Space Library, reflecting the organizational structure devised by Crista Dahl. The publications are arranged first by year, then within each year, subdivided into general locations of publication: B.C., Canada, U.S., and International.
