SEEKING | Volunteer Intern Positions Now Available

VIVO is committed to providing training opportunities in the various aspects of media arts as it relates to artist-run culture.  We are a training ground for the cultural workers of tomorrow, and thrive on the creative energy of people wanting to know more about getting involved in the cultural sector. There is currently no funding for paid internships, although we are always in need of loyal volunteers to work closely in specific departments. Volunteers that commit to a regular weekly schedule for a minimum of 3 months earn Video Bucks (redeemable towards equipment and facility rentals, and discounts on workshops) and a Basic Producer Membership (value $50).

VIVO is seeking committed volunteers to fill the following positions:

SOCIAL MEDIA | Volunteer will work self-directed (under the loose guidance of Development Coordinator Karen Knights + Community Engagement Coordinator Brit Bachmann) to create visually stimulating and factual templates for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts to promote fundraising campaigns, workshops, equipment rentals, calls for submission and events. No previous experience required, although an interest or knowledge of communications and social media is preferred. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign also assets.

PROSPECT RESEARCH | Volunteer will work closely with Development Coordinator Karen Knights to identify potential major donors. Previous experience required.
