Join Daily Xtra at the Fountainhead Pub for a pub-night in support of VIVO Media Arts Centre’s project to create a digital archive of Gayblevision, Canada’s first TV show “for gay people by gay people.” Created between 1980-1986, Gayblevision is a priceless window into Vancouver’s LGBT communities during years of tremendous growth and upheaval. We invite everyone to come out to view some freshly digitized Gayblevision clips of the LGTB people, organizations, businesses and events that defined Davie Village in the early 1980s.

How We Will Raise Funds:

Donate to this project now by clicking here and Daily Xtra will automatically match your donation up to a maximum of $1500.

Additionally, $1 from all Absolut Vodka drinks and Red Truck IPA pints purchased during the pub night will go toward helping VIVO fund the digitization of Gayblevision.

Note: We anticipate a high turnout for this event, so please secure your admission to this event via this Eventbrite. Bring a paper copy of the ticket or the ticket on your phone to the event.

Daily Xtra’s support of Vivo Media Arts Centre is part of our Social Sponsorship Program, which commits the resources of Pink Triangle Press (the parent organization of Daily Xtra) and our partners to community building and activist projects across Canada.
