Bartolomé Ferrando

Bartolomé is a performer and visual poet. He studied music and hispanic philology. He is at present Professor of Performance Art and Intermedia Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Valencia.  He has taught performance art and visual poetry in many universities and art schools as well as in festivals, schools and Cultural Centres.

He is a member of the groups; Flatus Vocis Trio, Taller de Música Mundana and Rojo, whose creative practices are a blend of music, poetry and live art. As well as founding the magazine Texto Poético he has published numerous articles, books and essays such as; Hacia una poesía del hacer (Towards a Poetry of Doing) and La mirada móvil (The Mobile Gaze).

As a performer takes part in festivals and events in Europe, Canada, EEUU, Mexico, Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Argentina, Venezuela and Chile. He exhibits his visual and concrete poetry in Spain, France and Italy.
