Living Wage Employer

We’re proud to share that Satellite Video Exchange Society (VIVO Media Arts Centre) is now a certified Living Wage Employer through Living Wage BC.

A Living Wage Employer makes sure that all direct staff and contracted workers are paid at least the living wage rate for their region. This is a calculation based on what it actually costs to meet basic needs like rent, groceries, transportation, and extended health care.

Becoming a Living Wage Employer reflects an ongoing commitment to the long-term wellbeing of workers and to building a more equitable economy. Ending poverty is a collective effort, and fair compensation is a meaningful step in that direction.
